About
Since its founding in 1972, the United States Sports University has believed that sports have the power to transform lives, uplift communities, and empower people worldwide. This fundamental idea has never been more crucial than it is today. The world of sports has never needed educated, ethical, and influential leaders more than right now.
Your degree from America’s Sports University will prepare you to work in the sports industry as a manager, administrator, coach, strength professional, athletic trainer, and more. Moreover, your USSU degree will equip you with the skills to lead people in one of the most dynamic industries in the modern world.
At USSA, our degrees are regionally accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC), ensuring that your education has been rigorously vetted at the highest level. Furthermore, our sports management degrees are accredited at every degree level by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs, the world’s leading business education accreditor. Additionally, our coaching education program is accredited by the National Committee for Accreditation of Coaching Education (NCACE), and our strength and conditioning program is recognized by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).
In 2023, USSU launched on-campus intercollegiate sports teams for the first time. The university offers men’s and women’s soccer, baseball, softball, and men’s and women’s track and field, recruiting student-athletes locally, regionally, and nationally for these teams.
At the bachelor’s degree level, students can study in person, online, or a combination of both. At the master’s and doctoral levels, USSU students study online, enabling them to continue working in their chosen profession while furthering their education.
After graduation, USSU surveys indicate that more than 60% of University graduates work in sports-related roles. They are managers, teachers, administrators, entrepreneurs, coaches, healthcare providers, and researchers – all contributing to the professional, Olympic, collegiate, interscholastic, and recreational levels of sports.
