International Programs
Successfully Educating The World In Sport
Beginning with an international education and training program in Bahrain in 1976, USSU’s global reach has spread to nearly every corner of the globe with programs in some 67 countries.
These have included special seminars and symposia, post-secondary non-degree education programs such as the International Certification in Sports Management (ICSM) and Sports Coaching (ICSC), International Diploma in Sports Management (IDSM) and Sports Coaching (IDSC) and Physical Education (IDPESC) as well as the institution’s degree programs.
Over the decades, the University has helped sports organizations of all types to develop effective and comprehensive sport programs. These have varied in size from those requiring hundreds of personnel to a few, specially targeted disciplines.

Program Options
Onsite
Onsite courses are delivered on-the-ground in our international partner’s country in a facility of their choosing. This delivery mode is advantageous as it encourages greater engagement and participation by the students. This mode has been successful over the years because the University has a large pool of instructors who specialize in sport within specific disciplines.
Online
Online delivery mode consists of courses that are post-secondary, non-degree programs delivered online through our Center for Professional Studies and Continuing Education (CPSCE). Although online programs do not have degree program requirements such as TOEFL scores, participating students must be able to communicate, read, and write in English.
Residential
Residential courses require students to travel to the United States to complete specialized residential courses. These are normally short-term programs with small groups of students. This program method requires visas and all other appropriate measures for international travel.
