Alumni Calendar
USSA has played a critical role in advancing our alumni, their communities, and the wider profession of sport over the last 50 years. With over 5,000 graduates, the our alumni make up one of the largest networks in the sports profession.
The United States Sports University’s Alumni Association exists to support our graduates long after they’ve received their diploma. We strive to foster personal and professional connections, offer lifelong learning opportunities, and promote a sense of pride in the alma mater while supporting the success and growth of its current student and alumni community.
We are excited to feature Dr. Ciara Taylor in our Ask an Alum webinar! In her segment, Dr. Taylor will discuss the importance of athletic training, different job opportunities in the field, and also give advice to our doctoral students about navigating the dissertation process. Dr. Ciara Taylor is in her 13th year as an athletic trainer at Oak Mountain High School (OMHS) located in Birmingham, Alabama. She provides healthcare via her employer ATI Physical Therapy. Prior to OMHS, Ciara was an Assistant Athletic Trainer at Alabama State University. Ciara has worked with many professional athletes. She was employed as a Concussion Spotter and Concussion Manager for the United States Football League (USFL) inaugural season.
